During a survey period in May 2018, it was reported that the most common reason for deciding to no longer follow a vegan diet was its inconvenience for the consumer, with approximately 30 percent of UK respondents giving this reason. Further 14.2 percent of polled individuals pointed to temptation, lack of willpower and motivation as a collective primary argument for abandoning their vegan diet. The answer to the survey question was open and the survey conductor grouped the responses after they were given.
